Slow Down - This ain't No NASCAR Race!

I took on this blogger identity of Hillbilly-Willy because I moved from a place in Texas where life seemed to be fast paced and hectic to a place in the Hill Country of Arkansas where there seemed to be many people with a different lifestyle.

There were things that seemed to be unique to what I called the Hillbilly lifestyle (call it what you will). Those things were:

You move at a slower pace - move out of my way Willy - I got to get somewhere was not something that you heard often - after you get off of the interstate.

You talk more about fishing & hunting - Did you go fishing yesterday? Did you see that big buck that LeRoys kid killed over in the holler.

Family seems to be more important - is that yo're sister Willy - Yea! She ain't much of a wife though (just a joke)

Cars and racing are a way of life- Willy-did ya see that Nascar race yesterday? Yea - but I still miss ole number 3 being on the track. You think your 43 Willis Jeep can beat my 51 Ford Pickup? Maybe - but I got the engine hanging in the tree in the front yard - I'll get er back in next week and we'll try.

Your home is definetly your castle- Willy- you got a long neck beer with you? Yea -just a minute - let me go into the double wide and see if it has brewed yet.

You grow your substance - Willy- you got anything growing in your garden - Yea- but it aint ready to smoke yet- Let me show you - Be sure and step around that smelly stuff cooking there - it aint ready yet either. Hope it dont blow up my house.

All kidding a side. The above is what a lot what people think. However, most of us get so caught up in our busy lifestyle that all we do is go to work - go home - and do it all over again tomorrow.

Maybe we need to slow down and fish a little more. Go hunting in the spring and be more concerned about being in the wild than getting the wild things that we think we have to own.

Maybe there are things more important than a new car - a large house - a nice watch. Hang on Willy - maybe we need to slow down a little and make life more fun.

Just a repeat of What Willy Thinks

Thats all for now.

Unsigned Bands - Willy says "Someone Sign Them"

Willy done figured out the maybe he might want to go into the music business. Wow, Willy could get him a band and could announce it on Industrial Bands web site.

Willy could go around the country and people could look on the Industrial Bands website and see where Willy was at and where Willy was going. This Industrial Bands website allows artists to promote themselves and others.

Willy might let people know on the Industrial Bands website that Willy is the greatest banjo picker in the world. Or maybe the best band is Circus of the Dead Squirrels. Sounds like my last hunting trip.

Willy done listened to some Tom Barnes from the music website.

Point being - this might be a great way for someone to get their break as a great music star.

It is called Unsigned.com

Willy says try it out and just because Willy gets a small compensation for mentioning this site, doesnt mean that it aint ok. Willy just has to pay for the internet.

Rules of the South - Listen Up Yankee!

1. Pull your droopy pants up. You look like an idiot.

2. Let's get this straight; it's called a "gravel road." I drive a Pickup truck because I want to. No matter how slow you drive, you're going to get dust on your Lexus. Drive it or get out of the way.

3. So you have a $60,000 car. We're impressed. We have $250,000 combines that are driven only 3 times a year.

4. So every person in every pickup waves. It's called being friendly. Try to understand the concept.

5. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of ducks are coming in, we WILL shoot it out of your hand. You better hope you don't have it up to your ear at the time.

6. Yeah, we eat Crappi and Catfish and love it. You really want sushi & caviar? It's available at the corner bait shop.

7. The "Opener" refers to the first day of deer season. It's a Religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November.

8. We open doors for women. That is applied to all women, regardless of age.

9. College and High School Football is as important here as the Lakers and the Knicks, and a whole heck of a lot more fun to watch.

10. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards --it spooks the fish.

LAST AND NOT LEAST ---

You bring "coke" into my house, it better be brown, wet, and served over ice. You bring "Mary Jane" into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair.

Willy Surfs Internet for Car - See his Choice

Willy done went looking for cars on the internet today. Willy done found a site for great car searches.

This gave Willy the idea to look around and see what he might want in Used Car Classifieds
on that site. Willy done went down the roads of his memory to a time when he and a buddy used to ride around the old college town in a Chevy Corvette that sucker was bright yellow and a hillbilly babe magnet. Well Willy done looked and he couldn't find one just that color - but boy Willy did find some good looking cars!

Well, since Willy did'nt find his corvett Willy done decided he might look good now riding around town in a Cadillac Escalade you know one of those with the pearly blue color and all the trimmings. Man Willy would look good pulling up in front of the "Redneck Possum Grill and Cantina" in that baby. But wait a minute - Little Redneck Mama would probably get that one to drive the kids down to the local soccer practice and gang fight. I can't get that one.

Well maybe a Dick Tracy Car. You know the Chrysler 300. No - might look to sophisticated in that one. Willy has a reputation to hold to you know.

Well - Here is what Willy has found on that site that he might can get and use on the old lease out in the country.

Well What do you think. This is Willy!

Willy and Video Conferencing - Beam Me Up Scotty!

Willy done had a dream meeting in his office the other day! Willy done had a video conferencing situation with someone in the UK. Willy felt like he was on Star Trek. Willy's boss done had to tell him twice to set down and shut up! It didn't help matters that the main person on the other end of the video conferencing situation was named Scotty!

Why oh Why Willy did you end the up the video conferencing screaming come back Dr. Spock! Come Back! - But seriously this thing the boss called video conferencing sure beat the heck out of flying to Europe to meet these people. Willy ain't to crazy about getting off the ground.

I wonder if Willy could talk the "Redneck Cantina and Grill" to put one of these things in. Man we could so some video conferencing with some of them Cantinas in another country and have a great time.

Well even though Willy sometimes gets a dollar or two for talking about things likevideo conferencing , he only does it if he thinks it was a good thing.

Another great tool through cisco is their wifi. Try it out at many locations!

Your appalling interview with Frank Wutrich

Dear Mr. Pelley and the 60 minutes crew

I am appalled at the interview that I have just viewed that Scott Pelley had with Frank Wutrich about the killing of 24 Iraqi civilians in Haditha, Iraq.

We ask a 25 year old to go into a hostile environment. He is engaged by hostile people. He is frightened as anyone 25 years old or 60 years old would be. He is trying to find out where hostile fire is coming from.

Did you really expect him to go into the house, and ask "Is there anyone here wanting to shoot at me or blow me up."

No, I expect a scared 25 year old or 60 year old to go into the house with full force, hoping that the only ones killed are truly hostile. My belief is that if he had entered the house asking questions first, he and the rest of his troops would be just like the other 3200 soldiers who have been killed in Iraq and whom you say little about.

Remember, we are dealing with people who will strap bombs on women and children and blow up themselves to kill a few Americans.

Mr. Pelley, lets put you in his shoes. Let's ask you to ask first if there are any hostile people in the house from which you believe rounds were being fired.

Yes, Mr. Pelley - if that were to happen. You probably would not be here to ask such rediculous questions with such a smug attitude.

This type of attitude makes my blood curdle. It is this type of attitude by Americans that keeps us from going into Iraq and winning a war.

Willy - Allowed to Blog and Make Money with PayPerPost.com!

Willy done love this blogging thing. Six months ago Willy did not even know what blogswas. Now Willy is allowed to Blog and expound all of my redneck knowledge out to the world and make money while doing it. Man this PayPerPost thing is great! Willy keeps thinking that all his redneck, NASCAR buddies ought to be doing this.

Willy done made his first Post for hire with PayPerPost.com on January 10th. Willy was just trying to figure out how this blog thing worked and this internet thing. Well since January 10th Willy done got 10 posts approved for pay. Willy done got $25.50 paid this far and has another $37.00 to be paid out in the next 30 days.

Wait you say to Willy-- That aint much bucks!

But look you rednecks. So far it keeps Willy in beverage money and Willy is just now really getting this thing figured out.

Willy had one blog that he was posting on because that is all that is allowed until you get 10 PayPerPosts approved. Now Willy done has another blog in waiting to be approved. With that Blog approved, Willy done plans to keep on writing his nonsense and his bull that everyone needs to know. Willy done plans to put one PayPerPost blog each week on both blogs.

Willy done used a calculator and if he just uses the small PayPerPost blogs of $5.00, Willy calculator done says that is $730 per year. That aint just beans where Willy lives. But even better, Willy done got ideas for a couple of more blogs. When these blogs meet the minimum requirements, Willy going to use them and make more money than Willy made all last year.

$1,000 per year or so aint bad money for just putting a few links and advertisements in with all of this great knowledge that Willy has. Well thats my story today!

All Willy knows is that PayPerpost.com is a good thing!

Happy and Strange People

Remember the good ole days when Gay meant Happy and Queer meant strange.

Now it takes legislative action in Arkansas to make sure that "Gay" (not happy people) cant be foster parents.

I agree with the rulings - this is not the way God meant life to be.

Fw: Thirty-four years ago today

Non sibi sed patriae, not self but country, is often mentioned as an
unofficial motto of the United States
Navy. Being a Marine, I have always
been more partial to Semper Fidelis, but I have had the honor and privilege
of serving in the company of Navy men for whom that motto, whether official
or not, is a way of life. My friend and former cellmate in Vietnam, John McCain,
is one of those men.

Thirty-four years ago today, on March 14,

1973, John McCain and hundreds of other prisoners of
war were released from Hanoi and began the trip home.
My repatriation from Hanoi was a week earlier, having been
shot down a year before John. I will never forget the feeling
of relief and joy upon stepping into an American aircraft with
my fellow countrymen to begin that journey home.

Things could have been very different for John. The son and grandson of
Navy Admirals, the North Vietnamese quickly realized when they captured
him that they had a special prisoner
from a distinguished military family. In an effort to embarrass us
and our country, they offered John early release. John consistently
refused those offers, understanding that freedom without honor was
not worth having. He kept faith with us, his fellow POWs, and stood
by the Code of Conduct through which we pledged "I will accept
neither parole nor special favors from the enemy."
Because of his
dedication to principle, the North Vietnamese made his life a living
hell for a number of years.

I was fortunate to know John in prison, and we have remained the
closest of friends. His refusal of early release, his constant
resistance, and his undying sense of humor were traits
we all admired. We were inspired by his commitment to
honor and encouraged by his sense of humor. His commitment
to principles, straight talk, and honesty in Washington continues
to inspire us today. I could never have imagined all those years
ago that one day the man sharing a concrete slab for a bed next
to me would be a candidate for President of the United States.
I am very proud to stand next to him today.

As our country battles a new kind of evil and our fighting men
and women take the battle to the terrorist, making incredible
sacrifices in their efforts, I think back to those days in Hanoi,
back to the experiences that have shaped my life ever since.
My friend, John, has been tested through circumstance and
fire, has met the challenge, and he is prepared to lead
America in difficult times ahead. No one is better qualified to
be Commander in Chief. He has made me proud over the
years, and I know he will do the same for us all as President.

Today is a special day for John and hundreds of us who were
POWs in Vietnam. I hope you will join me in remembering
those who have served this great country, especially those
who today fight for our freedom and safety in foreign lands.
We are proud of their service. We honor their sacrifice,
and look forward to the day their mission is accomplished
and they too will return with honor.

Sincerely,

Orson Swindle
Lieutenant Colonel, United States Marine Corps (ret)
POW 1966-1973

Willy Lights up the Neighborhood with Premier Lighting!

Everyday Willy done look for ways to improve the doublewide and tell others about how well it looks. Well today Willy found a website for all kinds of home lighitng.

Willy done going to use this to improve seeing his food with Kitchen Lighting. Willy done seen some gorgeous hanging lights there that will make seeing the possum on the table much easier.

Then Willy happened on to some lighting on that Premier Lighting website that would be great for Outdoor Lighting. There is a nice light there to hang over the porch swing. This way I can see the little lady as I court her on the porch in the evening. I might even be able to see my guitar as I serenade her.

They might even have some Landscape Lighting. Boy Willy will be the talk of the neighborhood if he shines some nice lights upon that deer head on the side of the double wide.

Well, like Willy always say. Sometimes Willy gets a little compensation for talking about these products. But Willy done knows that others want to know how he does things. So Willy would like to to talk about lighting cash or no cash.

Random Thoughts Clinton, Obama, Lewinsky

Willy done seen some Random Thoughts about Politics:

Should Barack Obama get a pass when he told the New York Times he didn't know beforehand about the statement put out by his campaign responding to a demand by Hillary Clinton's campaign during this week’s version of Hillary versus Obama? (Willy says No!)

Is Monica Lewinsky off limits during Clinton’s run for the roses or the Rose Garden?
(Willy says No!)

These are the issues being discussed by the media and in the blogs with primary season still one year away.

Republicans would love to see nothing more than the top democrats tear into each other. The other Democratic rivals likewise want Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama political blood splattered as each lob grenades at one another.

Which is why Obama wants the “tit-for-tat” to end, or so he has said and Hillary put the world on notice that she was not going to take any counter punching without a return uppercut..

Which raises the ultimate question if Barack Obama really did not know that a press release of an bashing nature was going out to the media—uh, huh?

Campaigns are run by cell phones, text messages and instant communications. If he can’t run his own campaign this early, can he run it later when things really will get crazy? More importantly, his introduction to the campaign was Honest Abe. That image will stick with him and will be used against him anytime the electorate smell a possible fudge.

Now, Hillary and Monica: Lewinsky is not off limits. Just as President Bush trusted intelligence and should be judged by his bad judgment, Hillary likewise should be pegged for her decisions and statements.

When the world knew what was going on, Hillary blamed the “rightwing conservative conspiracy”. When the stain of the final embarrassment hit the news, Hillary was on one side holding hands with Chelsea dissing Bill. America does not want more marital scandals. The more we hear of divorces, sex escapades, the more we want our White House to be white—as in clean.

So, Lewinsky is fair game and should be factored into the equation. After all, should Bill Clinton heavily campaign for his wife, his credibility becomes an issue. Mrs. Clinton cannot have it both ways. She cannot have the good Bill without the bad Bill.

Ultimately, Democrat voters are going to pick their nominee based upon the candidate’s respective positions and trust in government is a factor—whether the target is Obama or Clinton. Democrats would have it no other way and the same goes for the American voters during the general elections of 2008.

"There can be no divided allegiance here.
Any man who says he is an American,
but something else also, isn’t an American at all.
We have room for but one flag, the American flag…
We have room for but one language here,
and that is the English language…
and we have room for but one sole loyalty
and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Gingrich Says Hillary is 'Nasty,' 'Ruthless'

Willy done read this story and says to himself: I done know that she is a nasty, Ruthless women. Willy done had a dream about it. Willy says remember my dream?
____________________________
After months of playing nice about Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich took off the gloves and called Clinton "a nasty woman” with a "ruthless” campaign machine.
The remarks came in an interview with the New York Post’s editorial board on Wednesday.
Asked if Americans are ready to elect former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, a leader whom, the questioner noted, former Mayor Ed Koch had called a "nasty man,” Gingrich replied: "As opposed to a nasty woman?”
Gingrich, who said he hasn’t yet decided whether to seek the White House in 2008, also stated:”Nobody will out-mud the Clintons. You can’t beat them tactically ... They’re too relentless, they’re too well organized, they have too big a machine and they’ll just grind you down.”

He said Clinton’s political team was "talented” but "endlessly ruthless.”

Gingrich told the Post that Republicans need to nominate a Ronald Reagan-type candidate, adding, "A normative Republican running like a traditional Republican, which means a non-Reagan Republican, and trying to beat Hillary by being negative is hopeless.”

John McCain announces on Letterman

INFLUENTIAL Republican Senator John McCain used an appearance on The David Letterman Show to announce he will run for the White House in the 2008 race.

Willy says what the heck. At least now we got us an ok guy with a real chance going for the Whitehouse. Willy wishes these guys could use somewhere besides Hollywood to do their announcing. Why not go down to "Redneck Bar and Contina" and announce it to the good ole boys down there.

Well, Hillary - Lookout, you have some competition out there now.
