Repbulican Convention

Willy is looking forward tonight to the speech by Sarah Palin. Willy believes that this speech will make or break her. She can't let the stuff being thrown at her about her daughter take her off track.

If this were a man running who had the same family problems it would be a small blip on the radar scale.

Willy is not concerned that the daughter is rebelling if Palin has done the best she can do! Children will be children! A mistake does not create that the mother is a disaster. It is what it is - a mistake.

I am more concerned about what Ms. Palins background is. Willy believes it is solid and morally good. This is what I want. She will try to make the right decisions based on a good moral Christian background.

SHE WILL NOT BE MAKING DECISIONS FOR OUR COUNTRY BASED ON THE MORAL BACKGROUND THAT WAS INGRAINED IN HER IN A MUSLIM KINDERGARTEN!

10-4 Willy

I agree with you about Sarah Palin....You SHOULD be concerned about what Ms. Palins background is....whether or not you think that she is solid and morally good and will try to make the right decisions based on a good moral christian background, that should NOT be enough for you or anyone else in America to go by... I want something much more than that from her to go by, should she be put into the position of making tough foriegn policy decisions that could have major affects and or consequences on this country..I think McCain chose her for 2 reasons..To try to sway women voters his way, but face it, any woman with brains knows that she is no Hillary Clinton by any standard as far as political experience goes..Secondly, he chose her because she's all about the oil..The republican party has ALWAYS been about the oil...She's waaay too far rightwing, religious, conservative for me..Although I believe that they most certaintly should have the right to feel passionately about their beliefs and moral standpoints and should indeed stand up for what they believe in, I also believe that ALL PEOPLE should have those exact same rights....People should be able to make their own choices without government setting standards or dictating to them what is morally right or wrong..I just don't feel that it's the governments or anyone elses place to decide what is right for me on any moral standpoint...That's my chioce..You can't just stuff your view of religion down the throats of other people because that's what you believe in..It just doesn't work that way..Not all people share the same views...As far as MccCain goes, I feel that he is no different than Bush..He talks about the failed republican party of the last 8 years and how he is going to fix it, but what he doesn't tell you is that he is in large part responsible for that failure by supporting the Bush administration 90% of the time..I'm sorry but... Actions speak louder than words...I have always supported Obama but Hillary was most certainly my second choice..As far as Obamas inexperience goes, I think that his path of educational studies and past documented history of what he's stood for is enough to convince me that personally, I really like what he represents...He studied at Occidental college in California for 2 years, then transferred to Colombia University in New York where he majored in political science with a specialization in international relations...He then attended Harvard where he was president of the Harvard Law Review and graduated Juris Doctor Magna Cum Laude..( that means you're really, really smart ) (unlike McCain who graduated at the very bottom of his class) He taught CONSTITIONAL LAW for 12 years (very important knowledge for this kind of office) being senior lecturer for 8 of those years, and yes...He spent 3 years working as a community organizer...which just AFFIRMS that he has always worked for, and taken a firm stand for trying to make life better for the poor and the oppressed....What on earth is wrong with that??? I don't understand why the republicans are trying to make that out to be some sort of negative connocation...I don't find that to be a slam at all...I find it to be quite an admirable credit to him...There are alot of community organizers out there who are greatly offended by that one...By the way.. He was a very successful community organizer in that 3 years.. As director, they went from a staff of 1 to a staff of 13 and it's annual budget grew from $70,000 to $400,000 with accomplishments including helping set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants' rights originization....He's passionately fought the lobbiests in Washington because he knows, as well as we know, that it's all about the money when it comes to making decisions in Washington, not about what's right for the american people...The list goes on and on... If you haven't already, you should wikipedia him, along with McCain and Sara Palin... It really informs you about past educational, governmental and political accomplishments and policies, and past records also tell you what they really believe in and stand for. See if past actions actually back up what they are telling you or if it's just political rhetoric they're spouting off just to try to get elected....Come on...Do your homework...Last but not least, Barack Hussein Obama is not, nor ever has been a muslim....He is a christian.... His father was raised a muslim but was no longer practicing that religion by the time Barack was born ,and furthermore, he was not involved in his life from the age of 2 years old..Just because you have the name Hussein, does not make you a muslim... and just because you have the name Hooker, does not make you a hooker...And just because you are muslim, does not make you bad... and just because you are muslim, does not make you a terrorist.

  3. Willy Says Bull to the above.

    Obama can make a speech.

Check your records also. He says himself that he has some schooling in a Muslim ran school.

And don't take yourself to serious - you might stroke out.

And by the way be Brave - Come out from behind "anonymous" Tell us who you are.

If not Willy just considers your middle name "idiot" - your right it is not your middle name that makes you an idiot - it is what you think and say.

    Sorry and 10-4.

I did not say that he never attended a muslim ran school.I said that he is not muslim, nor ever has been a muslim, but is a christian...His mother remarried and moved her family to Indonesia in 1967 where subsequently, that was the only school available for him to receive an education... He then returned to Hawaii at the age of 10 and lived with his maternal grandparents and finished school there.... Furthermore, I did not get my information from any speech that Obama made. I got it from researching many different venues... I don't take myself too seriously, however I do take the future of this country seriously...

    My maiden name is Hooker
    My middle name is Jo
I will not say my first name
    For that, you already know.

And just because I have different views than you, does not make me an idiot.

  5. Willy is here to gain readership - hits - and be insightful!

Willy has opinions on "his" blog.

    Sounds like we differ.

As far as mentioning his speaking ability - my statement is that he makes great speeches but my belief is he has no substance.

My belief is that he does not understand that if we were not in the process of engaging terrorists on their own soil we would probably be under more 9-11 attacks in our country.

Truly - you are not an idiot since I know who you are!

But I do believe you are misguided -
In my opinion - and that is what this blog is all about - My opinion!

I do understand that this is Willys blog and that it is about Willys opinion...I can respect that and it was not my intention to offend Willy...I just thought since Willy welcomes comments, that I could interject mine even if it differs than Willys... Sometimes a little opposition is good..It shakes things up a bit...It keeps us on our toes and makes us think...

All I'm trying to do is to offer Willy a little bit of substance... That's all...It's there...Willy just has to have an open mind to it..

And he does believe that we need to engage the terrorists...He just believes that we needed to do that in Afganistan and not Iraq...
And I'm afraid that I agree with him on that one as well.....

This reader loves Willy and even some of his opinions! Like the John Edwards-Bill Clinton one...That is sooo funny and so true!

And speaking of idiots... Somewhere in Texas there's a village about to get their idiot back....

Sorry!...I guess this apple didn't fall too far from the tree....

  7. Willy does invite comments and especially those that differ from his opinion.

Willy likes to stir it up a little. Willy will be more careful in the future not to insinuate that someone is an idiot - especially if they have not identified themselves.

This can get a large foot in Willy's mouth.

Willy does love anonymous commenters - especially this one.

And Touche - I assume the Idiot Texan returning would be President Bush?

  9. Howdy, Miss Anonymous. The above exchange made me laugh. I will say though that we likely differ in our political opinions as well!)

Poor Willy. The foot-in-the-mouth is even funnier 'cause he's been walking around in the Arky Razorback pen too long....
