Hang the Carmakers

Willy says let the big three automakers go hang themselves. Yes, they touch most areas of American lives. Yes, they employ many Americans. Yes, they have many offshoot suppliers.

But they messed it up. Lets take the money that the government would be giving them out of Willy's pocket and give a reasonable annual salary to each of the real workers that will lose their job for a year with some incentive to find other employment.

Someone will buy the car companies and take them to a leaner meaner company that will survive.

Lets see maybe TOYOTA or NISSAN OR HONDA. They all make cars here in the USA in some form or another and they are not asking for a bail out.

Sorry folks. Willy just can't let go of the idea of rewarding companies for pure and unjust mismanagement.

10-4 Willy

  1. Tell me how this is any different from the Wall Street banks.

And tell me the ordinary people who work in the Wall Street banks weren't hurt.

I don't approve of bailouts period. If I need a bailout all I have to look in the mirror and that nasty lady there tells me, "Too bad, girlfriend -- deal with it."

I think this is a great blog, and I would like to Post a Comment

There has been some recent news you might like to hear.Obama is making it better for us already! There has been an increase of money availability to everyone. Due to recession there is increased funding for all types of grants. Even lenders are bending over backwards to bail you out too. Regardless of statistics, there is people getting tons of cheap money for personal use, investments, start businesses, buy homes, pay off debt, and more. Bailout is for YOU

  3. Hello Willy I agree with you whole heartedly. The unions have mostly caused this. How again is it Obama is helping us? He is not even in office yet.

Willy I agree with you. The country will most likely be a better place without the "Greedy 3" to screw everything up.

  5. Oh, no, don't stop the bailouts yet. I haven't gotten mine! Of course, we'll be broke by the time it gets to me!!!

  6. Willy, they all had a hand in this--greedy workers and greedy CEOs. They all will pay. I've paid for years with crappy American cars.

  7. Have you ever driven past any of the big three and checked out what the workers drive to work? Toyota, Nissan and Honda's fill the parking lot. Why is that?

We have a Honda Ridgeline and a Mercedes. I will not buy the crude they are putting out of the big three. Just saying.

They will still fail even if they are given the money. Why? The union and the management have to change the way they do business if they want to succeed.

    Have a great day. :)

  8. I'm with you Willy. I was a strong opponent of bailing out Wall Street investment bankers too. We'd have taken a major hit to the economy, but in the long run it would have been an adjustment that's been long overdue. This economy is designed to go up and down with the long term trend to be a upward one. It always has been, but now?

  9. Willy, I agree with your assessment. That's a big 10-4!

At the same time, I plan to vote on this issue, if you will, by not buying another vehicle from these car companies, at least not during the foreseeable future.

Willy, FYI, the real reason the government is bailing everyone out is so they can control the even economy more. They now control the banks, the big corporations... It's kinda scary.
