Willamette Valley Attractions
The valley is an agrarian wonderland teeming with farms, crops and vineyards. Farmers’ markets dot the landscape and dazzle browsers with the kaleidoscopic color of fruits, vegetables, desserts and flowers. Head to the Wooden Shoe Bulb Company, Oregon Garden or any number of nurseries to check out tulips, daffodils, irises and roses—to mention a few. Journey back in time at McMinnville’s Evergreen Aviation Museum, home of the Spruce Goose (sorry ladies, no Leonardo!), check out the nearly 50 historic wooden covered bridges and University of Oregon’s Museum of Natural & Cultural History. For kid-centric thrills, experience dinosaurs, puppets and planets at the Science Factory in Eugene, storybook charms at Enchanted Forest, the hand carved horses of the Riverfront Carousel and the interactive exhibits of A.C. Gilbert’s Discovery Village.
I was born and raised in Tillamook, Oregon. It rained all the time. That's what I remember the most anyway.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of fun things to do in Oregon however and you've listed quite a few here.
Have a terrific day Willy. :)
