Willy flew to see family past weekend. Willy was to leave his home airport at 10:40 and arrive nonstop at destination at 12:40. That is what Willy thought. What Willy did not know is that the flight actually stopped in Dallas for 15 minutes to pick up passengers.
The flight was late and did not leave until 11:45. Arrived in Dallas and there were only three people going on. Sat on the plane for 10 minutes and finally one of the clean up crew suggested we might want to talk to a stewardess because this plane was not going to final destination.
Stewardess says that is right go to gate 6. Willy don't know if it is 10 minutes or two hours. Willy gets to gate 6 and a unpolite person with airline sounds like a broken record. However, the flight does not leave until 2:55 if on time.
Flight was not on time and we pulled away from Dallas at 3:15. Arrived at destination at 4:30--almost 4 hours late.
A gentleman in a wheel chair who was a Vietnam Vet told me this. "SON YOU WILL DIE SOME DAY AND YOU WILL EITHER GO TO HEAVEN OR HELL, BUT EITHER WAY YOU CAN BET THAT YOU WILL HAVE A DELAY OR A LAYOVER IN DALLAS"
How true.
10-4 Willy
I get it now Willy. It's one of those you had to be there things. Service has just vanished in so many places hasn't it? Yes, it has. I'm sorry your day was so long.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day Willy. :)
