Willy Needs a Spin Doctor

Willy is trying to watch the last debate and all Willy is seeing is two spin doctors.

Question - What is your name Senator Obama?

Answer: I am glad you asked that. John would tell you that I am for more taxes for Joe the Plumber. I am really cutting taxes for all of those middle class Americans making $200,000 or less - or was it $225,000 or is as I said a while ago and is $250,000.

Moderator: The question is "What is your name?"

Obama - Yes Bob, I am getting to that. Senator McCain would have you believe that I voted for tax increases. When in fact I was really voting for the Pork Barrel Spending attached to that budget not the tax increase itself.

Thank you Mr. Obama - by the way that is your name isn't ? I am glad you asked that Bob. That give me reason to say ................

Moderator: Mr. McCain - What is your Name:
McCain - Well let me tell you If Obama wanted to run against Bush he should have run four years ago.

and so on and so forth.

Who Has Willy's Money?

OK, Willy got to thinking if all of us have lost so much money on our 401K plans, in our IRA's and in the stock market. Who got that money.

Almost everyone is losing money and no one is gaining money.

BAR STOOL ECONOMICS

Willy always wonders why people complain that all of the tax breaks are given to the rich. If you gave it to the folks like Willy it don't make much difference anyway.

Willy ran across this Bar Stool Economics by David R. Kamerschen, Ph.D. Professor of Economics, University of Georgia and it makes sense to Willy (that is scary right there) Stay with this and think about it. Don't go A.D.D. and leave before you finish.

Here it is:

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for All ten comes to $100.

If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go Something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar Every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the Owner threw them a curve.

'Since you are all such good customers, he said, I'm going to Reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20. Drinks for the ten now cost just $80. The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we
pay our taxes so:

the First four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free.

But what about the other six men - the paying customers?

How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would Get his 'fair share?'

They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33.

But if they Subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer.

So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.!

And so:

The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing(100% Savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four Continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men Began to compare their savings.

'I only got a dollar out of the $20, 'declared the sixth man.
He pointed to the tenth man, 'but he got $10!'

'Yeah, that's right,' exclaimed the fifthman. 'I only saved a dollar, too.
It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!'

'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he Get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!'*

'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We didn't get Anything at all. The system exploits the poor!' & The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat Down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the Bill, they discovered something important. They
didn't have enough Money between all of them for even half of the bill!

(The 10th man was originally paying $59 of $100, then $49 of $80)

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our Tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit From a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start
drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

Credit Cards at Your Business? OnlineCheck.com makes it easy!

Willy would be lost without his credit cards that he uses. Therefore, Willy would be lost if a company did not accept credit cards .

Willy uses credit cards for every purchase that will allow him to. This gives for easy records and for good tracking of all purchases with receipts and one statement at the end of the month.

But wait! Have you ever been in a business that does not take credit cards. Willy did this a while back and had ordered a big steak and did not realize that they did not take credit cards. The bill was $18 and Willy had $17 in his pocket. They decided not to charge for the tea.

This was embarrassing. No business should be without the ability to take credit cards. That is where this company comes into play.

Debate Depresses Willy

Willy has food on the table (from the woods) and feels pretty good most days. Willy has a job and has a few friends. But Willy is depressed.

Why is Willy depressed you ask?

Willy is typing this as he listens to the V.P. Debate. Willy just heard that middle class people make up to $250,000.

Willy ain't made $250,000 cumulative in the past 10 years. Willy must be lower class.

Willy ain't sure if he can buy arrows next week to go to the woods and get a deer.
