Willy is Hot!

Willy is hot because:

• The average temperature outside during day has been about 98 degrees.

Do They Have your Best Interest at Heart?

Willy says where does greed end.  If Willy understands the problem that is being discussed around the eye care world it has to do with the measurements that an optometrist does for a person to be able to get a prescription pair of eyeglasses

It appears that they are saying that if they give out these measurements that are necessary for someone to go somewhere else and get a pair of glasses then they think their is some kind of liability.  Willy says "bunk"  It sounds to Willy like they are more concerned about forcing someone to buy their eyeglasses from their optical shop so that they can get another piece of the pie.

This does not sound like they are concerned about their reputation but about their pocket book. This stinks in Willy's opinion.

Willy says it stifles competition and is not right. Willy believes that if someone wants to go some where like ZenniOptical who is the #1 online eyeglasses store they should be able to do that. This allows everyone to have a choice as to where they get their glasses.

Willy Thinks all Should Tell the Truth

Question that Willy is asking himself this morning is "When is it wrong to tell the truth?

Well, it appears that it is wrong to tell the truth if you want to keep your job.

Assume that someone told you and many millions of people that he was going to bring certain people home from a certain country in one year and he did not do that. That means that he did not tell the truth. Willy guesses that is ok to not tell the truth because that person still has his job.

Assume that a person had a meeting with a very important person - ultimately his boss and when he left that meeting he felt very disappointed because his boss did not seem to even know who he was or did not seem to understand the job that he had been hired to do. Suppose that person walked off and told someone that "my boss seemed to not be fully engaged - did not fully understand the job he had hired me to do" From everything that Willy sees that seems to be the truth about the boss.

Should the worker be fired because the boss did not like the statement or should he be praised for telling the truth. Should the boss realize that he is not truly engaged and praise the person for calling his attention to his downfall and pledge to improve.


No - if someone tells you about a fault you have - Willy says Fire Him

Willy has rambled enough. You know what Willy is talking about.

Willy and the Courts -2

Willy was called to the court system today to be a witness in a case that was something Willy was a part of almost seven years ago.  This has been mentioned before.

Willy's Day went like this.

Willy shows up to court - 9:00 am
Willy is asked to stand out in Hall with other witnesses until 10 am
Willy goes into courtroom and is inside for 15 minutes and is sworn in - back in hallway - no chairs -10:15
Court is adjourned for lunch from 11:45 - 12:45
Court comes back from lunch and Willy waits in hall 12:45 - 3:00
Court takes a break 3:00 -3:30
Court goes back in session and Willy waits in hall - standing 3:30 - 5:45
Court adjourns - Willy never called in - told that they would come back on Friday - Willy not needed.

Go Figure!

University of Redlands

University of Redlands  is calling Willy's name.  What do you mean you ask Willy?  Well, Willy is getting a little older but is still thinking that he could learn a new trade or expertise if he was at the right university.  Therefore, Willy started looking to see what that "right" university might be.

That is when Willy found what looks to be the best California university.  It is a University that is known for many things and these things are such as it is a great California business school, it is the Inland Empire college and it is a top university that would be a great place to work on continued education, to get a degree or just to be able to attend a university in Los Angeles.

So if you are like Willy and you are looking for a top university to get a degree in that area that you have always wanted to excel in, then Willy suggests that you do like he is doing and explore online to find that great university like  University of Redlands.
