Hilton Holiday Savings in Branson

Willy and the wife like Branson. Recently we have decided that we love Branson Landing.
The place that we want to stay is the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. This gives you the convenience of being where the newest buzz is in Branson along with the best shopping and great nighttime atmosphere.




With these new great places to stay such as the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel Willy can go use this as his headquarters to visit all of the shows in Branson and do all of the great shopping. Willy has not stayed at either hotel yet but has friends who have and they were thrilled with the accomodations and service.

Willy is even thinking that it would be great to get up and go to Branson right now.

Yes, Willy knows that during the day Willy can partake in the spirit of the holidays with light displays, shows, parades, and the old time charm of Branson. But by night Willy would have the chance to retire in the luxury and elegance of either the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel.

Willy knows that whether it’s the nostalgia of the great views in the Missouri Ozarks such as the lakes or the excitement of great dining and entertainment, this is the perfect setting for any of Willy's holiday celebrations.

Willy is giving thought to New Years Resolutions. These are the things that Willy really wants to do but probably will not get it done.

Last Minute Gifts from Kmart!

Well, as Willy sits here reflecting back on the Holiday season, you know Christmas and all of that fun time, Willy wonders ... is there anything out there that Willy did not receive that he wanted? Or better yet is there something that Willy did not give that he wanted to give?

Well, Willy decided to look if there might be able to get those last minute gifts from Kmart

Sure enough Willy finds a watch at Kmart that would work to replace the one with the broken band. Willy broke the band around Christmas and just never got around to replacing it.

Oh look Willy there is the perfect last minute gift of a Gift Card. Willy could give one of those to Mrs Willy and the Wee Willys and they could all get something that they might have wanted but did not get.

There might also be that electronic gadget such as a memory card that could be bought to help supplement the digital camera that Mrs Willy and the Wee Willys have.

Well the picture is clear (forgive the pun) there are many last minute gifts that could be gotten at Kmart. Willy just needs to get out of the house, get away from the candy, the pie, the ice cream, the left over ham and turkey and get out to Kmart.

Willy thinks if he will hurry he can beat all of those other shoppers to get the after Christmas gifts and discounts that await us.

Willy says happy shopping and "get er done" at Kmart.

Willy Missed this Notworthy Passing!

Willy discovered in research today that with all the sadness and economic trauma that is going on Willy had missed the passing of an important man.

Willy believes that it is very important that we reflect on the death of any very important person, which might otherwise go unnoticed.

Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote 'The Hokie Pokey' died peacefully at the age of 83. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in then they put his right leg in ........And then the trouble started.

Willy says shut up and laugh. You know it's funny. Just kick back and laugh ... it helps forget about the plunging 401K.

Ok - so the joke is a little Hokey and maybe a little old - but Willy thought it was worth passing on. Sorry if you have already heard it.

Willy's real Christmas Lights

Willy thanks everyone on the comments on the Christmas Lights. Willy is sure that everyone knows that those lights really aren't Willy's.

Willy is a great guy but even that is too much trouble for Willy to do. Seriously the wife has ok'd Willy's display of lights. It used to be elaborate with lights on the eves of the house, in the bushes, down the sidewalk, around the windows and just about like "Christmas Vacation."

However, now Willy's lights amount to a wire Christmas Tree with lights in the yard, a lit snowman in the yard and net lights on the bushes.

Last year when Willy was trying to put the lights on the eves of the house, Willy looked down from the ladder and figured out that Willy was a lot older and the ground looked a lot further away and Willy decided that the lights on the eves were not that pretty anyway.

No longer does Willy leave the ground to put up Christmas lights.

Willy just drives around and looks at others lights.

Christmas Lights!

Willy's wife was on Willy's case to get the Christmas lights up for the last two weeks.

They're up now, and for some reason she won't talk to Willy?

Hang the Carmakers

Willy says let the big three automakers go hang themselves. Yes, they touch most areas of American lives. Yes, they employ many Americans. Yes, they have many offshoot suppliers.

But they messed it up. Lets take the money that the government would be giving them out of Willy's pocket and give a reasonable annual salary to each of the real workers that will lose their job for a year with some incentive to find other employment.

Someone will buy the car companies and take them to a leaner meaner company that will survive.

Lets see maybe TOYOTA or NISSAN OR HONDA. They all make cars here in the USA in some form or another and they are not asking for a bail out.

Sorry folks. Willy just can't let go of the idea of rewarding companies for pure and unjust mismanagement.

Platinum - The perfect engagement ring!

Willy knows that platinum has become the choice material for an engagement ring. Somebody Bail out Willy!

Willy dreamed last night that he was going to get a bailout from the government. Guess it had to do with Willy writing that post about the automakers getting bailed out.

Well, Willy is driving his auto and Willy hears on the radio that someone will be there shortly to bail Willy out. Well Willy goes to salivating at the mouth to think that someone is going to bring him a bunch of money to pay off all of his debts and for willy to get his finances sorted out.

Well, all of this salivating gets in Willy's eyes. Willy drives off the road into a lake. In a few minutes two fisherman are reaching in the window of Willy's car.

Guess what they are doing. They have buckets and they are bailing Willy out. Water is gone and Willy is saved.

Willy got his bailout.

Willy needs some Financial Planning

Willy is hearing the stories this morning that the Automakers are getting the message and they are going back to congress to plead their case for a bailout and are traveling in their hybrid vehicles instead of their corporate jets.

They are saying that they have to have money because if they don't get it soon that their mismanagement to date will cause them to go bankrupt this month. If they get the bailout they will sell their corporate jobs, they will figure out how to make cars go further on a gallon of gas, the CEO will work for $1/year + expenses and they will sell the corporate jets.

This they say will bring them back to profitability if Americans-- Many who cut from their jobs by the automakers, will then buy more cars and drive more miles and use more gas and spend more money on credit cards and ..........

Willy has debt, but the problem is that Willy has not let his debt get totally out of hand. Willy has spent beyond his means sometimes but Willy took a look and pulled in the reins and got it back in hand all by himself.

Willy needs someone to help Willy to financially figure out how to get in the mess that the automakers are in so Willy can get the bail out. Willy believes if the government will give him only about 1/100 of 1% of the $800 million bailout money, then willy will be debt free.

My plan is that if the government could spare Willy that small amount then Willy pays off all debts. That allows Willy to save a small part of his salary and then spend the rest on big cars, great vacations and many other things that will give people jobs.

That would spur the economy.

Turkey, Turkey, Turkey

Willy took turkey leftovers for lunch today. Secretary was a little concerned when Willy began to cluck like a turkey. Willy is just kidding.

It does seem like Willy ate a lot of turkey and dressing but that is ok because Willy really likes this.

Probably on its last leg though. If you know what I mean.
