Willy likes Razorback basketball and football. The football team has won Willy's respect. The basketball team appears to be a bunch of losers. They are inconsistent and they seem to quit on their coach often.
There are many that believes that the Hogs Basketball Coach, John Pelphrey, is a loser and can't coach. These people talk about how the players can't shoot and miss many shots and this is the coaches fault. What Willy says is that if they are getting open shots and things are working except the shooting then how can that be the coaches fault. Can the coach get out and shoot the ball for them? No. He plans, he sets schemes and they get open but they can't shoot.
