Blogging vs Real Life! - Plowing and Sowing

Willy and his wife had a great visit this week from Matt over at Plowing, Sowing and an Occasional Harvest . Business had brought him to Arkansas and through casual comments on each others blogs over the past few months he discovered that he was working in Hillbilly Willy's home town.

An email and a couple of phone calls gave us the logistics to be able to meet in person. This meeting gave Willy the chance to become acquainted with a really nice young man and get to hear great stories of his family. It is like a breath of fresh air to meet a total stranger and in just a couple of short visits feel very comfortable that he has your similar values and a great take on raising a family.

It was neat to see a gleam in his eye when he mentioned the children or the wife.

The Bible says to raise up a child in the way that they should go and they will not depart from it. Well, from what I can tell, this proud father is in the business of training up some children in the right way who will make great citizens.

Thanks Matt for coming our way! Look forward to future visits.

A BIG 10-4 - Hillbilly Willy

Thank you. I really enjoyed getting to know ya'll. You need to get your wife back to Texas a little more often. The Fish House was really good. Thanks again.

I can't help but look on with a wee bit of envy at those that get to meet other fine folks that blog. Most venues in the States would be a really long drive from Okinawa.

I'm glad you had a good time meeting a fellow blogger.
