After discovering all the stuff that's really been going on, a bunch of us old-timers have flown the coop.

I agree with you, Willy. I've never been a big dropper, just loyal to the few I drop on.
Joyuna agrees with Willy. And more and more people are doing it, too. Wonder how long EC's paid ad system will stay afloat.
There is a lot going on at entrecard that leaves a lot to be desired right now. Like the new policy of having to have bought 400 ads to be able to get in the forums. It is hard for me to do a lot of dropping. I only get a few free hours a night. I confess that I have accepted paid ads, but mainly because I have been considering cashing out my credits and being done with the whole entrecard thing
I am no longer with EC but am following the downward spiral. It seems biting the hand that feeds them isn't enough so their working on shooting both of their feet. Anyway when I was active in EC I dropped an average of 450 daily with my 5 blogs. At some point it just became a useless and mindless way to waste time. When I questioned the issue of paid ads before they came live, Graham was extremely rude so I left. The implementation of the paid ads was a huge problem. Many are doing the same thing as you are, not accepting paid EC ads. Keep an eye on your widget as there have been several reports of paid ads showing on widgets even though they are set to not accept paid ads.
