Willy wishes everyone a happy New Year. Willy is doing this early in case Willy falls asleep before midnight.
Yes, if you will please keep the noise down around midnight. I will probably be in bed a sleep.
It is amazing how we change over the years. We used to be looking for a place to cheer in the New Year and now we are looking for ways to dodge any New Years obligations - give me my easy chair and the remote till 10 pm. Then give me my bed.

Willy the Book Publisher
Willy is trying something new. In researching the new Kindle that Willy bought for his wife for Christmas, Willy discovered that a book for Kindle does not have to have all of the beautiful hardcovers and the illustrations, it is best just to have content.
Willy realized that he had a lot of recipes that had been accumulated over the past few years along with a little humor to go with them. All Willy had to do was get these in an acceptable form and he could publish a book.
This lead Willy to Publishing Kindle books under Hillbilly Willy Productions. The first two books are Hillbilly Willy Smoking Meat Course and Hillbilly Willys Deserts.
If you have a Kindle and are interested in a couple of short books that you can put on your Kindle and have available then check these out.
Willy would appreciate it.

The Car Connection and You!
Maybe a new car for Christmas would be nice. Willy is always dreaming about new cars. Willy likes cars and is always shopping and studying to decide which car on the market might be the best next car for him. Do you ever have dreams about driving down the interstate in something like a BMW X6-Series. Did you look sharp heading down the road. Nice dream wasn’t it.
Well, some other cars that you might want to dream about are the Honda Cr-Z. You might find that this vehicle is more to your liking. If not the Honda then what about dreaming about a Volkswagen Eos. Yes, this is a popular vehicle but many people are not familiar with this vehicle. That is where the research comes in. You may want to do some online research to find out more info about this car and many more.
That means a good site to explore might be the Car Connection. You should be able to find out what you would like to know there. Check it out.

Willy Gets the Spirit
Willy likes Christmas. Willy thinks we get to much into the materialism that is out there but still likes the giving and the getting.
Willy's problem is trying to figure out what to get the few that he gets for. Willy ends up getting a few things for Mrs Willy and then agrees for her to wrap a couple of things that she wants and put them under the tree from Willy. It is hard for Willy to buy clothes for Mrs Willy.
This still does not keep Willy from getting in the spirit.
Willy just likes to hear those words "MERRY CHRISTMAS" this time of the year.
So now to Christmas Willy will be saying it every chance he gets.
Merry Christmas and that is the big 10-4.

About those Church Hymns
A minister decided to do something a little different one Sunday morning.
He said "Today, in church, I am going to say a single word and you are going to help me preach.
Whatever single word I say, I want you to sing whatever hymn that comes to your mind."
The pastor shouted out "CROSS." and Immediately the congregation started singing in unison, "THE OLD RUGGED CROSS."
The pastor hollered out "GRACE." The congregation began to sing "AMAZING GRACE, how sweet the sound."
The pastor said "POWER." The congregation sang "THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD."
The Pastor said "SEX" The congregation fell into total silence.
Everyone was in shock. They all nervously began to look around at each other, afraid to say anything.
Then all of a sudden, way from in the back of the church, a little old 87-year-old grandmother stood up and began to sing "PRECIOUS MEMORIES."

Firstrade.com–The First Place to look for Stock Trading
Willy likes to trade stocks. Willy likes to do this on line and is always researching the companies that deal in the things that Willy trades. These things that are important to Willy are online trading companies that deal with IRA Accounts, Mobile Trading, and just general Stock Trading.
Well, in looking for a company that meets the criteria that are important, one that keeps coming to the surface is firstrade.com. It is an online trading company that deals with a and handles all of the things that are important to Willy.
So, if at anytime you are looking for a great online brokerage firm, you might want to take a look at firstrade.com. The search can be short if you take this advice and it is obvious that this site can take care of most if not all of the trading criteria that most people will need.
That is all Willy has on this subject at this time.

Redneck Christmas - What to give
Willy is always pondering this time of the year as to what to give to the wife and kids for Christmas. Willy went down to Juanita's Roadkill Grill and Cantina to get a few hints from Juanita and went away without much help.
Juanita could not focus on what I wanted to give the wife for trying to convince Willy to let the Grill cook Christmas Lunch. Juanita had seen Willy's post about Figgy Pudding and was convinced that it was Willy's head that was a little Figgy. What ever that means. Juanita wants Willy to come to the Grill and pickup her possum stew and deer chili for Christmas. She said she could throw in some Elk steaks but that would cost Willy more than he is willing to pay.
Back to Christmas. Juanita's only suggestion for Mrs Willy was a camouflage Snuggle but Willy has already gotten her a Razorback Snuggle and she has never used it. So Willy is still searching for that perfect gift for Mrs. Willy.
Anyone with a suggestion let Willy know. Time is growing near.

Figgy Pudding - Solved by Sandee
Well, Willy asked for a figgy pudding recipe and Sandee from Comedy Plus - provided. Willy is not sure if he would like this pudding. However, if Willy does not like the pudding, Willy can dump it and drink the rum sauce. 10-4 Willy
---------------------
One package of dried figs (10 to 12 ounces). Put them in a saucepan with enough hot water to cover, at least 2 cups. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Let sit until soft (a few hours).
Once soft, remove figs from the water and place in a bowl. Save the water, which will already be fragrant, and add a cup of sugar (optional). Bring to a boil and let reduce slightly. Remove from heat. Add a bit, perhaps 1 tablespoon, maybe more, of orange-flower water. Cool.
Chop up your figs. Chop them fine, but do not pulverize. Do this by hand.
Using a boxed cake mix for carrot cake, follow the directions, but instead of the water they request, use the fragrant sugary water from the figs. (Save the remainder of this water.) Then add oil and eggs as recommended on the carrot cake mix. Add some cinnamon (about 1/2 teaspoon) and a lot of fresh-grated nutmeg (about 1/4 teaspoon). Mix in a food processor. At the end, toss in the fig pieces and beat in a bit. Turn into a bowl and add a bunch of sliced almonds (about 1/2 cup) and some raisins (about 1/3 cup) that have been softened in brandy if you like. Add the grated peel of one orange and a big dollop (1 tablespoon) of marmalade.
Line a big metal bowl (about 4 quarts) with foil. Use enough foil that you will have a big collar around the top of the bowl. Spray the foil with nonstick spray. Pour your cake batter into the foil-lined bowl. Set into preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes, then bring the collar gently over top of cake. Continue for another hour and half. Use a skewer to test (it will come out clean when pudding is done). It will take a while because it is dense.
Remove from oven and cool overnight.
Uncover and overturn onto a big serving platter. Carefully remove foil. The cake will be a mound, its size depending on the depth of your bowl.
To serve, take the reserved fig-and-sugar syrup and add to this maybe 1/4 to 1/2 cup of brandy or rum. Heat. You can, if you wish, ignite as you would for plum pudding, but it tastes just fine with the sauce poured over it just before serving. Use whipped cream or crème fraîche with each serving. (If your cake is less than perfect to the eye, you can instead quickly frost the cold cake with whipped cream, covering any imperfections, and serve the warm sauce on the side.)

Redneck Decorating and Willy is envious.
These were not the only deer mounts in the house. Another wall had the smaller three or four heads.
Then you can note the next wall that had the fish. This guy likes to fish and it was obvious. The fish on the wall were also evidenced by a great fishing boat in the barn built just to house the boat and a great looking travel trailer. Oh yea the boat. It was a large high powered bass boat that had a very big engine and all of the newest gadgets. Pretty good for a redneck.
Sure wish Willy could afford some of this type of boat. Willy is struggling to decide to buy a little small jon boat for about the price of one of the seats of this nice boat.
Well so much for Willy's envy of a true redneck. Willy may have to change his name because Willy does not meet the standards of Redneck for this guy.
